Our purpose

Every child gets known by name.

Small classes and teachers who stay. At Emberwood, nobody gets lost in the middle of the room.

Children do their best work when they know someone believes in them. Our job is to be that someone, every day.

Head of School, Emberwood Academy
01

Known.

Teachers learn what makes each student tick before the hard work starts. Trust comes first.

02

Stretched.

Projects push every child a little past comfortable, with teachers and classmates working right alongside.

03

Safe.

Mentors, a school counselor, and clear, kind expectations keep every child on track, academically and socially.

Explore outside

Outdoor exploration is part of how kids learn here.

Our campus

Twelve acres of outdoor classroom.

Trails, a garden, and a creek sit right behind the classrooms, so science class spends a lot of time outside. Kids plant it, measure it, and write about it. The outdoors isn't recess here. It's part of the lesson plan.
